Bubble Growth

'Bubble Growth' was constructed in the second-year of my undergraduate using plastic vacuum formed domes and spray paint.​ During this stage of my practice, my work was described as:

"creating artwork for all audiences, materials recognised by both adults and children. I believe, in a way, my art is healing people, reminding adults of the past, things they would play with that made them happy; when life was simple.​ Children are comforted by the sight of something familiar, googly eyes, colour and playful craft items that have been used to craft a form or some being. Creating this sort of work also heals me as a person, revisiting things from childhood and working in a way that does not require much thought, just expression.​"

To date, some of these themes are still part of my practice. I believe that healing artistic expression has always been present in some respect.
